(adj.) Describes behavior, whereby people or organizations that are sincerely committed to a cause (such as sustainability), inadvertently undermine their efficacy in addressing the cause.

This can occur in a myriad of ways, such as turning prospective cause supporters off through judgmentalism, or egotism...or by setting standards that are dispiriting.

Sustainerati behavior's adverse impact on cause efficacy can be resolved, in whole or part, through humble awareness and pragmatic effort.
